I joined Plăieșii in 2022 and was happy to find a group with a friendly atmosphere. From the experience I have shared with the guys, the words that would best describe the ethnofolkloric ensemble “Plăieșii” are: bus, 500 km, rehearsal, “let’s go again,” and the list goes on.
The first song I learned when I joined “Plăieșii” was “La omul care mi-i drag” (To the Man I Love). There is no show where this song is not requested. Most often, we perform it repeatedly and always together with the audience. From this activity, I understood that a happy person knows how to create a magical atmosphere around them. From our leader, Nicolae Gribincea, I learned what punctuality means—a quality every artist must have to achieve performance. Also, integrity, respect, responsibility, and love for folklore are the pillars on which success is built. The traditional costume is the garment in which we present ourselves to the audience, and I believe it represents the history of our people. Our audience consists of people truly in love with beauty.
