I joined “Plăieșii” in 2019 and I appreciate the strong sense of camaraderie that predominates in the ensemble, the serious attitude, and the love for folklore. In my view, the words that best describe the ethno-folkloric ensemble “Plăieșii” are: youth, charm, ambition, professionalism, and friendship.
The first song I learned when I joined “Plăieșii” was “La omul care mi-i drag” (“To the Man I Love”). Over time, I grew fond of all the songs because I put a part of my soul into each one when I accompany them. From Maestro Nicolae Gribincea, I have inherited confidence and a taste for authentic folklore.
He teaches the members of “Plăieșii” discipline, a serious attitude toward everything they do, simplicity, collegiality, and boundless love for folklore. All members of the ensemble know that a professional attitude matters anytime and anywhere. A member of “Plăieșii” must show great humanity and be straightforward in words and deeds.
I am convinced that a people who respect themselves cannot exist without their music, traditional costumes, and national traditions. Through the folklore expeditions we carry out together, we manage to enrich our repertoire and understand the true vibration of the Romanian spirit and soul.
The audience of “Plăieșii” consists of beautiful, pure-hearted people who love true folklore passed down directly from its source.
